This work brings together leading scientists from a variety of disciplines within this research field. Topics include observation data and models from millimetre to optical wavelengths; from diffuse clouds to comets; structure and photon-induced dynamics of small molecular systems; collisions and reactivity; and ices, such as water, ammonia, formaldehyde and carbonaceous materials in grains and on surfaces.
