"Signs and Symbols presents a new repertoire composed by leaders Susanna Lindeborg and PerAnders Nilsson that consists of compositions, loose structures, and electronic backgrounds. A point of departure is to integrate acoustic and electronic instruments, and with influences from a variety of genres and traditions, such as free improvisation, avant-garde and experimental music, electroacoustic music, minimalism, as well as electronica and ambient music. However, their music always starts from and is firmly rooted in the jazz tradition. Mwendo Dawa still exists as a trio and the group has released a critically acclaimed CD on LJ Records.
