During the War of 1812, Amelia Samuels is being forced into a marriage by her father. When she has nobody left to turn to, Amelia finds a friend in the village stranger, Patrick Buchanan. Together they discover the reason behind her unwanted engagement but before they can stop it, Amelia finds herself in grave danger.
