As part of on-going projects to retrieve women writers from the side-lines of literary and cultural history, the collections explore the growing interest from scholars of literature, history and gender studies in girls?EURO? print culture . School stories generate particular interest because of their significance to the history of girls reading, their engagement with cultural ideas and the education and socialization of girls.
