The author had spent nearly a quarter of a century studying and interpreting the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Each chapter and verse of prophecy have been passed under review many times and his sole aim had been to acquire the very meaning in reading that the prophets gave in writing the prophecies. Having learned that prophecy is a divine system reaching from the garden of Eden to the eternal ages, and perceiving many years ago that neither the Jews, who reject Christ, nor any class of Millennialists were governed by that system in interpretation, the writer prepared a series of lectures on the chief items of the system of prophecy and used those lectures as the basis for this book.
