On the occasion of the World Year of Physics, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of the publication of several major papers by Einstein, and the birth of the Theory of Relativity, the XXVIII Spanish Relativity Meeting (ERE 2005) was structured to cover as many aspects as possible of the foundations, applications and future vistas of this branch of modern physics. This collected proceedings reflects that goal.
