Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for People with Cancer
The first edition of this book, Adjuvant Psychological Therapy for Patients with Cancer (Heinemann, 1989), described a cognitive behavioural treatment specifically developed for this group of patients. There have now been many advances in the field and there is considerable evidence of the effectiveness of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in this area. Knowledge about the psychosocial impact of cancer has increased, and cognitive therapy has become more sophisticated. As the first edition is now out of print, there is no manual of CBT for cancer therapists or for use on relevant courses.
