The Sustainab.Italy project represented Italy at the 2008 London Festival of Architecture. It follows on from the research begun in 2006 for the 5th Biennale of Architecture in Brazil to showcase the influence sustainability exerts over the design research carried out by younger generations.This design approach concentrates on improving the quality of life and the landscape, optimizing the use of resources, creating a positive balance between economic growth, social equality, respect for the environment and specific projects. Given the tasks facing us in the future, this design approach has taken on a whole new meaning.Written in English and Italian.
