Isaac Logan, a Yankee sailor, is abducted from the streets of London in 1740, and through the use of false documents he is sent as forced labor to Barbados. Eventually Isaac enters the slave trade and purchases and transports thousands of slaves across the Atlantic. Two hundred and fifty years later, a Logan family-owned newspaper in Boston launches a series of articles about slavery, writing about reparations and the buying of freedom for some of the 20,000,000 slaves in the world today.
