William Minto (1845-1893) was a Scottish literary critic and journalist. He was the author of a biography of Daniel Defoe, and contributed to the Encyclopedia Britannica biographical sketches of Chaucer, Spenser, Dryden, Pope, Dickens, and other literary men.
