The combination of shoddily built 1970s American cars, long lines at the gas pump, superior Japanese cars, plus an astute partner were more than enough to overcome Moe Graffiti's constant bungling and still make him a very rich man. Now, at the age of sixty, the Southern California beach boy is struggling with depression over his being known as an out and out buffoon in the auto industry and another failed romance.
When his friend Morry tells him about Lex, a nineteen-year-old blond beauty who has just arrived from Wyoming, Moe jumps at the chance to meet her. He woos the na ve waitress, and it's not long before they start a steamy affair. Satisfied that his love life is going in the right direction, Moe decides he needs a new scheme to spice up his career-to show the higher-ups at SCAG, that he, Moe, is a man to be reckoned with.
With the assistance of his former used-car manager who is hiding out in Europe, Moe starts selling faulty European cars and making huge profits. It's only a matter of time before someone rats him out. But maybe Moe's luck will hold this one last time .
