Mullin is a middle-aged university administrator and part time photographer who decides to sow his remaining wild oats. A model accuses him of molesting her. In order to put him away, a moralistic detective bends the rules. The case sets the sleepy town of State College, Pennsylvania, home of Penn State University, on its proverbial ear and creates a scandal that nears national proportion. Wry in tone, "The Mullin Mystique" explores the issues of lost youth, sexual assault, and prosecutorial misconduct. It is a highly fictionalized version of an actual case.
