The Unspeakable Gift is a book of poetry that puts into words our feelings about the gift of Jesus Christ, given to the world by God, to save us from our sins. These poems have a message that goes beyond religion and tradition and lets the reader know that no matter how many names we use for Jesus -- such as Jireh (Prosperity), Nissi (Banner), Rohi (Shepherd), Rapha (Healer), Comforter, Alpha (Beginning), Omega (Ending), Shalom (Peace), the Way, the Truth, and the Light, El Gibbor (The Heroic God), or Jehovah (The Supreme God) -- our vocabulary does not extend to the level of describing the gift that was given to and for us. This is a book that explains that you can love people; give yourself to and for people; make all kinds of plans and sacrifices for family, friends, and loved ones; even dedicate your life for a cause that may actually help change mankind for the better; but we still cannot give enough of ourselves in a lifetime to add up to the one gift that is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. The Unspeakable Gift is just that -- unspeakable -- not that we can't say anything about Him, but we can't say "it is finished." And it's not that we can't give our time, talents, and treasures to godly causes, but we will never be able to give up eternity to save generations from being eternally lost.
