Applications of Statistics and Probability
This a two-volume set of the proceedings of a December 1999 conference that stressed the broad subject of safety and reliability of civil engineering systems including probabilistic structural mechanics; structural, materials, and environmental engineering; geomechanics; and risk analysis with an emphasis on applications to all types of engineering systems. Volume I (087-6) contains 74 papers and three keynote papers that discuss reliability, management and construction, deterioration, geomechanics, and seismic analysis. The 87 papers in Volume II (088-4) cover serviceability, fuzzy and related logic, bridges and existing structures, dynamics and fatigue, load modelling, Monte Carlo methods, codification, member and system reliability, uncertainty analysis, and applications.
