The proposed book presents an easy method for 1) understanding the level of maturity of an organization's strategies, 2) the internal processes that support those strategies, and 3) integration the business and portfolio strategies. The "Portfolio Alignment Model" will allow readers to perform an 'As-is analysis', 'To-be analysis', a "SWOT analysis", and the "Portfolio Alignment Assessments". Though the focus of the book is to analyze and perform the integration of an organization's structure and strategies, it also provides the reader with a framework to develop steps to strengthen their organization's weaker processes. Where most books on project portfolio management present and discuss the theory and best practices, the proposed presents a successful tool to actually implement portfolio analysis within the larger organizational strategy.
