We share our planet with about nine million animal species, from the tiniest creatures too small to see with the naked eye, to huge elephants and whales. So far, scientists have discovered and named less than 15 per cent of these animals and many are dying out before we can even make their acquaintance. In this book we introduce you to more than 500 different animals from every part of the world.
