On the Eastern Continent, where the borders of Varsh, Cherik and Kirpan meet, an important chapter in planet Craitch's history is about to be recorded. He comes in search of a friend, but instead finds a boy who holds an important message for him. Through this boy the Barle learns he must play a part in the fulfilment of an ancient prophecy. When an act of self-defence leaves him with no alternative than to take flight the Barle embarks upon an amazing journey that brings him face-to-face with monsters, madmen. and his doubts and fears.
