Disruptive behaviour has a severe impact on both teachers' morale and pupils' levels of attainment - and tackling this problem is an enormous challenge for primary schools. A recent study commissioned by the NUT found that more than 80 per cent of teachers in schools of all types in rural, urban and inner city areas say that pupil behaviour has deteriorated during their time of teaching. Teachers are looking for effective solutions. This series consists of ready-to-use activity books which provide ideas and exercises designed to improve pupils' behaviour and also give guidance on preventing and correcting misbehaviour. Each title relates to the National Curriculum guidelines for Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) for Key Stages 1 and 2. Included are "Quick Start" activities which require little or no preparation, over 25 photocopiable activity sheets and "Task Cards" written for pupils which provide further individual and group activities."
