Linda was a married housewife and mother of three grown children all out on their own. She suffered terribly at times with depression. She died suddenly of heart failure at the age of fifty. Katie was just thirteen, and well on her way to becoming a first-class athlete, musician, writer, or whatever she wanted. Katie would not get the chance to fulfill her dreams of being a star athlete, writer or musician. She was struck by a speeding car and mortally injured while training for a cross country race.Linda was my wife of thirty years. I did not know Katie until five years after her untimely death. The Tin Manas Brother is about that meeting.
