Jinx McKenzie and Max Myers travel to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to spend winter break with Jinx's Aunt Merry in her old farmhouse. While the two friends are there, Jinx again begins to have troubling visions from the past. Then one cold December evening the ghost of a mysterious colonial farmer approaches them in the barn and warns Jinx to keep her nose out of the past. "What's done is done," he says. "You can't go changin' history. . . ." Jinx, Max, and their pets begin a frantic dash through the time tunnel of history to decipher a mystery whose clues include Ben Franklin, a historic theater house built on the site of a Colonial jail, the Paxtang Gang and the Conestoga Indians of Lancaster County. The teens and their pets race against time. But do they truly have the strength and fortitude to overcome all obstacles and keep a terrible tragedy in the past from happening? This time around, will the lives of the fourteen remaining members of the Conestoga Indians be saved?
