"War from a Distance" tells the stories of four young American teenagers who face family problems, prejudice, peer pressure, and raging hormones against the backdrop of World War II. These young people must make personal, life-changing decisions while contributing to their country's war effort, buying war bonds, collecting scrap metal, and making bandages. Although some face greater challenges than others, all do their best to rise above the people and events that threaten to keep them down.
