The 10-chapter text aims to place 20th and 21st century theorists in a context that connects them to their classical roots; to account for broad developments in social theory over the last 20 years; to take into account the Canadian context and theorists; and to include some subject areas such as situationists, postmodernists, and European theorists that are often overlooked by other texts.
