Captain Matthew Hervey of the 6th Light Dragoons now ranks alongside Aubrey and Maturin, Sharpe and Hornblower as a hero to be reckoned with in the historical adventure fiction genre. This new novel opens in 1827, Hervey is in London recovering from another bout of malaria, while the cataclysmic battle of Navarino Bay looms in the Ionian.
