1903. Illustrated. From the Stories of Heroes series. The stories of this period, as well as the myths and tales of nomads, belong to the period of childhood in the development of civilized society. They may be said to represent the minority of society. The stories are drawn from two sources chiefly, the legends clustering about King Arthur and his Round Table and those relating to the followers of Charlemagne, especially as given in the Chanson de Roland. These stories are sure to arouse the interest of young people in the study of history.
