'Lacoste + Stevenson: Architecture Stories' is a compilation of projects by award-winning architects Lacoste + Stevenson. Run from Sydney by French emigre Thierry Lacoste and Australian David Stevenson, Lacoste + Stevenson has developed a portfolio of work that is unusual for the way it moves between the traditional architectural poles of formalism and functionalism. Here, the architectural object incites activities both unanticipated and unexpected. With design by renowned creative studio Toko and contributions from both French and Australian critics, 'Lacoste + Stevenson: Architecture Stories' unpacks the conceptual approach that has led to the practice s award-winning designs. The assembled work spans two decades of practice and two continents, and includes built and unbuilt projects of varying programmes, complexities and budgets, from furniture design to urban master planning, art installations to large buildings.
