Iraq, April 2003. Tom McCartney, a crack Australian SAS sergeant is at home in the army - his life is clearly defined by the clear-cut 'good versus evil' of the battlefield. When his patrol shoots civilians at a road-block, he finds himself unable to cope and gets drawn into a vortex of post-traumatic stress, alcohol abuse and heroin addiction.
