As a mother of fourteen children ages twenty-four to four, at the age of fifty-one I was most providentially given a window of opportunity to obtain a Master's Degree in Theological Studies, summa cum laude, from Ave Maria University's Institute for Pastoral Theology. My three year course commenced in August of 2011, six months after my husband survived a bone marrow transplant for stage IV leukemia and ended in June of 2014 with the folding of the program itself. What a blessing and a privilege to study from the original sources the teachings of the Catholic faith, instructed in person by truly devout and learned professors. For my part, even though I often felt lost and confused, yet at the same time convinced this is what God wanted of me, I can honestly say I gave every course my best effort, although my resulting work as will be attested hereto is far from perfectly scholarly! Yet I humbly share it for the good that may be gained for His glory alone.
