In this book, the author maintains that true vitality can only come about from instituting equality into our relationships. He presents a series of essays which combine ideas from professional work in mental health, and activist experiences in social movements and inside oppressive institutions to promote a special personal-political position aimed at transforming authoritarian institutions into equalitarian ones.
