Julius von Bismarck - Animals are dumb and plants are even dumber
This monograph is the first comprehensive publication of Julius von Bismarck's work, which has already attracted considerable notice on account of its inventiveness. The artist uses installations, videos and performances to explore people's ability to perceive, and uses the laws of physics to challenge the way we are used to seeing things. His interdisciplinary approach involves asking questions about the world and nature in a creative way, which gradually transforms the individual. This publication includes accompanying texts that discuss some individual works and examine the questions that are central to his work as a whole.
