The collection of popular melodies arranged by Alexander and Tatiana Dugushyns is intended for collective music-making on the folk Russian instruments.
The authors of arrangements address both to the mixed ensemble and traditional orchestral cast. The collection includes the most favourite hits of the 40ies?50ies. Thus the authors express the kind of nostalgic feelings for the time of their youth, when these songs enjoyed the popularity all over the world.
Tatiana and Alexander Dugushyns are experienced performers and teachers. The ?Compozitor? Publishing House ? St Petersburg published the "Sketches" (2001) and the "Russian Suite" (2002) by Alexander Dugushyn.
Dugushyn's composition style is distinct for its improvising manner, wit, brilliant discoveries in counterpoint and figurations. His attempt of affirming piano part in the Russian instruments' orchestra.
