Leslie can boast of being propositioned by Salvador Dali and David Niven, and of being driven through the streets of London by Steve McQueen. But her life hasn't always been easy: at age 4 she was sent to the first of many boarding school, she has been shot at by Bosnian snipers and pursued by Robert Mugabe's secret police. She is currently Foreign Correspondent for the "Daily Mail", and in 2007 was made a Dame.
