Criminology: A Global Perspective is an excellent teaching tool, explicitly written to provide the broadest coverage of any criminology text available, including research examples from around the world. The discussions acquaint students with numerous “correlates of crime” including: demographics, ecology, macroeconomics, family, institutions, behavioral and mental health, and biology. Understanding of these correlates is then used extensively to assess the merit and shortcomings of each criminological theory.
