I am a wealthy man but seldom have any cash. I have developed the international corporation Elekta thatmanufactures radiation therapy instruments for cancertreatment. However, my mother, three of her siblings, mypaternal and maternal grandfathers, and one of my cousinsall died from the disease. I have also been affected by it.I have spent a night in a cell in the drunk-tank, after a night on the town.I had marriage counseling by an Indian guru.My mother was born in Lenin s prison. My father was a famous neurosurgeon, scholar and inventor. One of my sons started a bus company in Nigeria. With my first student loan I bought art but turned downthe offer to buy a painting that today would fetch 30 MUSD(200 300 million Swedish crowns).I see myself as a shy person, with a slight fear of conflicts.I am not very competitive.I ve seen my photograph printed upside-down on the coverof a Swedish business magazine.I know what it is like to be on the brink of bankruptcy, but alsowhat it feels like to be a success story.
