Two Cartularies of Abingdon Abbey, Vol II
Cartularies from the Benedictine monastery of Abington Abbey that shed light on medieval life
The two cartularies are Bodleian Lyell (209 leaves compiled according to the editor’s revised dating, not before c. 1350) and Chatsworth (167 leaves, of the late fourteenth or early fifteenth century) printed in their original arrangements. The introduction includes a general critique by C.F. Slade.
