This volume serves as a companion to the critical edition and English translation prepared by the author of two sets of scholia on the Heavenly Hierarchy of Dionysius the Areopagite. In this volume the author rejects the traditional authorship of the scholia and establishes their date, provenance and context. The study also examines the manuscript tradition of the scholia, the exegetical technique of the scholiasts and their extra-textual concerns.
