Aimed at first year engineering students, this text includes eight units in which the subject matter is presented systematically in a lucid language. About 300 examples are solved systematically in S.I. units. To enable students to test their understanding of this subject more than 200 unsolved problems and about 250 multiple choice questions with answers are provided at the end of each unit. Steam tables are provided in the appendix.
