THE ASSURANCE OF OUR SALVATION: Witnessing the Gospel to Modern Doubters is a missional approach to the doctrine of salvation. Just like what originated the systematic theology of Karl Barth was a practical question he faced as a pastor of a local church, the development of this volume was motivated by evangelistic questions the author faced while teaching and preaching about the assurance of salvation. The book is a tool to make the doctrine of salvation accessible to modern audience. Because there is a gap between traditional seminary education which was fit to the context of Christendom and modern missional context, many pastors feel unequipped or less prepared as our culture is moving from modernity to postmodernity. The question is how we communicate the gospel message to people from a postmodern culture where the absolute truth is denied. The book is an attempt to answer to the question, "How do we, communicate the gospel with confidence in our culture hostile to Christianity?"
