As a violist, I have often been frustrated with the lack of quality string quartet arrangements that have been composed. So I have set out to create my own. My goals are to create interesting -- and sometimes challenging -- string quartet arrangements of a variety of literature. This book of arrangements is based on hymn tunes that are familiar to most church-going people. There are four volumes in the collection, of which this is the first. Please enjoy these hymns and use them to bless others.
