Principles of Broadband OFDM Cellular System Design
This book provides an introduction to a new rapid system simulation technology. Drawing on real-life examples of the design of 802.16e and LTE (Long Term Evolution), it focuses on the system aspects to help clarify the inherent trends and trade-offs that necessarily occur during the design phase of a wireless system (e.g., fairness vs. capacity, latency, etc.). It also gives an insight into the last decade of Motorola Labs research into wireless broadband OFDM, showing a mixture of theory and innovation tempered with implementation knowledge learned from years of field testing and demonstration systems. The book contains six main sections, each sections.
