The third longplayer of the Finnish Melancholic Doom Metal project Kaunis Kuolematon ("Beautiful Immortality"). Especially in the compositions is the interplay between the extremely deep growls and the heartwarming clear voice. It is quite astonishing how much emotions the Finns create with it. Tough-flowing, ton-heavy riffs, encased in flat keyboards, accompany you deeper and deeper into inner abysses, before a glimmer of hope can be identified on the horizon. Sharpness meets heartbreaking melodies, aggression pairs with despair and leads to confidence. The unique and recognizable sound of the band has extended the typical boundaries of doom metal and their music appeals to an audience of many metal subgenres. The Finnish lyrics also reinforces the mystery of the band. A multi-layered, dark album, set somewhere between Dark-, Melodic Death- and melancholy Doom Metal.
