In Repertoire Book 3, students will:
- Play repertoire in the keys of C Major, A Minor, G Major, E Minor, F Major, and D Minor
- Transpose carefully selected pieces to a variety of keys
- Prepare for learning the music of J. S. Bach by playing pieces that feature increasingly difficult two-voice counterpoint
- Learn music from the Classical and Romantic period repertoire as well as newly composed pieces in a variety of styles
You will notice that some pieces are more difficult than others. This was strategically planned. The more challenging pieces stretch students to higher levels of achievement, while easier pieces allow students to feel motivated and confident about their progress. Optimal learning occurs when students are provided with pieces at a variety of levels.
