Petri Kasari analyses Nathan’s promise with the aid of literary- and redaction-critical methods and puts forward a new hypothesis of the transmission history of this text. His useful survey to the related texts helps the reader to better understand how Nathan’s promise was reworked and reinterpreted over a long period.
