A Five-year Follow-up Study of Patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
The effects of coronary artery disease risk factors and rehabilitation on the results of coronary artery bypass grafting were studied in a five-year follow-up study.
Low insulin sensitivity index in the oral glucose tolerance test and high preoperative serum cholesterol concentration were associated with progression of atherosclerosis in coronary arteries.
After surgery, higher proportion of patients in the rehabilitation group than in the group receiving hospital based treatment only were in working life and perceived their health and overall life situation as good.
