Lentokoneiden kirjo Suomen ilmavoimissa oli koko maailmankin mittakaavassa ainutlaatuisen laaja. Syy siihen oli, että koneita pyrittiin haalimaan ympäri Eurooppaa ja otettiin käyttöön useita epäkelpojakin sotasaaliskoneita pyrkien korvaamaan sodan konekulutusta. Tähän kirjaan on kerätty merkittävimmät konetyypit.
