The life of a South African tribe is a collection of biological phenomena which must be described objectively and which are of great interest, representing a certain stage of human development. Mr. Junod's aim has been to present the Thonga tribe to a scientific and thorough study and shall be most gratified if it leads other observers to undertake the same investigation with regard to other African tribes.
