Introductory Psychology:  Applications or Theories and Concepts focuses on the most important and fundamental theories, concepts, and findings (emphasizing the most consistent research findings rather than the most recent).  It promotes active learning by posing margin questions for student self-study and by including a study guide for each chapter that helps students compare and connect concepts and apply those concepts to real-life situations.

The text includes many web-based exercises intended for homework assignments.  A web-based testing program allows instructors flexibility by letting them move exams outside the classroom to a proctored testing lab. 

The text offers instructors even more felxibility by letting them choose only the chapters they wish to cover, as well as the order of those chapters.  Instructors may add their own material, including their own cover.
