First joined album by Anne-Sophie Mutter and Pablo Ferrández – a musical team for many years, united by friendship, inspiration and mentorship. Their first album includes Brahms’s Double Concerto (live recording, Prague Jan 2022) with Czech Philharmonic and conductor Manfred Honeck.
As well as Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio (studio recording, Sept 2021) with pianist, long term collaborator and friend Lambert Orkis (studio recording) the first recording of this piece by a major artist. According to Anne-Sophie Mutter Brahms and Clara Schumann go hand in hand. “Both adored each other artistically and Johannes Brahms often asked her advice”. Their human and artistic relationship tied them together and inspired them. For Anne-Sophie Mutter also diversity played an important role in the repertoire selection to also highlight a female composer totally overlooked by music history.
