Friedrich Burgmuller (1806–1874) was a German composer, pianist, pedagogue; best known for his piano etudes. This collection consists of etudes, written especially for young pianists. The etudes are light characteristic pieces, featuring a series of bright recognizable images: Children’s party, By the limpid stream, Tender flower, The swallow etc. The collection is addressed to pupils and teachers of children’s music schools.
