The lectures put together in this book will be found largely oriented by the happenings of World War I. This is to be expected as they were delivered during the years 1916-1918, and Theosophists, especially among all thinkers, followed closely and anxiously the tide of events in the great struggle, for on its results depended a reconstruction towards good or a further descent into evil.
