A recipient of the federal Investing in Innovation (i3) grant, Building Assets Reducing Risks is an innovative, strength-based school program for grade 9 designed to reduce academic failures, close the achievement gap, increase attendance, decrease the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and improve the school climate. One component of this program is I-Time, a series of weekly 30-minute sessions for team building and education in social competencies. This I-Time Curriculum binder provides 35 engaging activities focusing on a variety of topics, with the goal to create a positive school climate by building individual and group strengths and improving student-to-student and student-to-teacher relationships.
